These terms govern your use of the TakeMeThere app in Trinidad and Tobago. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

What the service is

TakeMeThere is a technology platform that connects riders with independent drivers. TakeMeThere does not provide transportation itself; drivers carry out trips as independent operators.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TakeMeThere. The information you give us when you register — and keep on your account — must be accurate and kept up to date.

Fares

Your fare is shown in the app before you book. The fare shown is the fare you pay.

Payments

You can pay for rides in cash directly to the driver, or from your prepaid TakeMeThere wallet balance.

Cancellations and no-shows

Cancellation and no-show fees may apply, for example when a trip is cancelled late or a rider does not show up at the pickup. Where a fee applies, it is shown in the app.

Driver status

Drivers on TakeMeThere are independent operators, not employees of TakeMeThere. Drivers choose their own hours and are responsible for their own vehicles and obligations.

Acceptable conduct

Treat drivers, riders and support staff with respect. You must not use the app for anything unlawful, unsafe, abusive or fraudulent, and you must not interfere with the platform or other users' accounts. Breaking these rules can lead to suspension of your account.

Account suspension and appeals

We may suspend or close an account where these terms are broken or where safety requires it. If you believe a decision about your account is wrong, you can appeal by emailing support@takemethere.taxi.

Limitation of liability

We work hard to keep the platform reliable and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, TakeMeThere is not liable for losses that are outside our reasonable control or that we could not reasonably foresee. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page, and continued use of the app means you accept the updated terms.
