Riders

Where does TakeMeThere work?

TakeMeThere works in Trinidad and Tobago.

How do I get the app?

TakeMeThere is in early access on Android, and the Google Play listing is on its way. Download the Android app with the button on our home page. iPhone is coming soon.

Can I share my ride details with someone?

Yes. You can send your driver's name, plate and vehicle by message to someone you trust. There is no live map link for your trip yet.

What if something goes wrong during a ride?

Every active ride has an SOS button inside it: call police or ambulance, text your emergency contact with your location, or contact support. Afterwards, contact us in the app under Help and support — trip records are retained and available for investigation.

How do I contact my driver?

Use the in-app chat to message your driver directly. Calls are also possible during a ride.

Payments

How do fares work?

See your estimated fare in TTD before you book. The final fare follows the actual route and time. No bidding, no haggling.

How do I pay?

Pay cash in TTD to the driver, or from your prepaid TakeMeThere wallet. You can top up the wallet by card in the app or at takemethere.taxi/topup; top-ups are processed by WiPay.

Are there cancellation or no-show fees?

They may apply. Where a fee applies, it is shown in the app.

Drivers

How do I become a driver?

Register in the app, submit your identity and vehicle documents for verification, and once you are approved you can go online. The drivers page has the full picture.

How and when do drivers get paid?

Every fare and fee is itemised in the driver ledger, and balances are squared up on a predictable weekly settlement cycle.

What happens if a rider does not show up?

A wait timer runs at the pickup, and the driver is compensated for their time.
